2.M.2.Z – The Life and Art of Carl Sandburg

Carl Sandburg (1878-1967) was an unusually versatile figure in American arts and letters. In addition to being a celebrated modern poet whose output expanded the definition of poetry, he was the Pulitzer Prize winning biographer of Lincoln, a novelist, a memoirist, a writer of children’s stories, and a collector, singer, and popularizer of American folksong. We will consider his work in all of these categories (read and performed by him) and hear him in illuminating interviews, speaking about his life.
