2.M.2.Z – The Life and Art of Carl Sandburg
Carl Sandburg (1878-1967) was an unusually versatile figure in American arts and letters. In addition to being a celebrated modern poet whose output expanded the definition of poetry, he was the Pulitzer Prize winning biographer of Lincoln, a novelist, a memoirist, a writer of children’s stories, and a collector, singer, and popularizer of American folksong. We will consider his work in all of these categories (read and performed by him) and hear him in illuminating interviews, speaking about his life. NEW!
