Brian Bonvissuto

Brian is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music. He plays all the trombones (alto, tenor, bass), euphonium, and tuba. He has played in the orchestras of the Broadway shows Chicago, Gypsy, The Color Purple, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and Come Fly Away with Me. He is a pit substitute on Broadway. He has also performed or recorded with musical acts such as Blood, Sweat and Tears, Lionel Hampton, the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Marlene VerPlank, and many others. When he’s not playing at home he’s an arranger and copyist.

Louis is a composer and Steinway artist. He has toured internationally, playing classical music for Mikhail Baryshnikov, Jazz Fusion with the John Payne Band, Latin music with “Pucho and his Latin Soul Brothers,” Pop Music with Rupert Holmes’ “Pina Colada Song,” and Rock and Roll with the John Hall opening for “Little Feat.” He has released 39 albums/CDs – his latest is Provocative Piano. His mission is to create a more compassionate world by writing, recording, and performing music that inspires love, peace, joy and gratitude.

Tara Hooker: Tuesday, March 9, 2021 (Harp)

Tara is the youngest child in an intimate Irish-American family wonderfully full of musicians. She began playing the harp at a very early age. Now she is giving harp lessons both privately and for the Rockland Conservatory of Music. Her students and their teacher have won honors and awards both at home and abroad. She also performs professionally at private events and other venues, including Manhattan’s Waldorf-Astoria and Plaza hotels.

Karen Gilbert: Tuesday, March 16, 2021 (Violin)

Karen plays the violin and viola and is the current concertmaster of The Rockland Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed widely in the United States, touring nationally with The Eastern Opera Company, and in Europe with the Allegro Chamber Ensemble. She was formerly a member of the Gotham Piano Trio, The Huntington Trio, River Trio and Gamela Son Of Lion and also recorded for Folkways and A&M records. Most recently she performed at Carnegie Hall for two seasons with the Senior Orchestra of Local 802. She’s left behind a long career as a teacher of strings in Rockland County schools but continues to teach privately.

Patricia Haddad: Tuesday, March 23, 2021 (Voice)

Patricia’s music education began at a very early age. At six years old she was performing and singing in musicals and theatrical productions. Years later, at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, she studied opera as well. Patricia remains a singer with a 4-octave range, and a prolific songwriter whose compositions are marked by a lyrical and sensuous style. She has taught at several universities in the Philadelphia area and has also published a book, La Giara (The Water Jug), from which she created a musical inspired by the story of her Sicilian family’s emigration to America.

 Jeffrey Friedberg: Tuesday, March 30, 2021 (Voice and Strings)

Jeff is an award-winning performing musician, a board-certified music therapist, and a NY State licensed creative arts therapist. He sings and plays banjo and guitar. He currently runs Music for Life Creative ArtsTherapy in Nyack. He uses music to help children, teens, and adults build skills, form relationships and improve their lives.
